Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz announced Monday that wide receiver Titus Young
was suspended for Week 12. The second-year receiver was sent home from the Lions' practice facility Monday. It all comes as punishment for "repeated selfish behavior." Late in Detroit's loss to the Green Bay Packers, Young lined up in the wrong spot and it resulted in a heated argument with his receivers coach Shawn Jefferson. The whole situation created a stir that was caught on tape during the broadcast.
Fantasy Analysis:
Schwartz told reporters that Young would be evaluated on a week-to-week basis and he probably would not practice Tuesday. Young missed most of his sophomore season while at Boise State because of a fight with a teammate. There were character, "red flag" issues but Detroit felt he had grown up since being a teenager. For fantasy owners, this is a sticky situation that fantasy owners will have to be patient with. You can't cut him just yet. In deeper formats, Ryan Broyles
might be worth a flier.
