Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe
hasn't provided his fantasy owners with much lately, but at least 50 yards is 50 yards. On Sunday against the Bengals, Bowe was forced out of action in the second quarter because of a neck injury. He didn't return to the game and didn't catch a pass before departing. The Chiefs haven't said much about Bowe's injury other than he did not suffer a concussion.
Fantasy Analysis:
Nothing you can do about it, but it still doesn't make that goose egg in your box score look any better. Even if Bowe's neck is well enough for him to play in the next game, I think Bowe is a fringe WR2 at best. Kansas City faces the Broncos in Week 12, so Bowe will probably see a lot of Champ Bailey. There's also the continuing saga involving Chiefs' quarterbacks. Matt Cassel got benched at halftime for Brady Quinn on Sunday. I assume that Quinn will get the start next week, and that might be even worse for Bowe. He caught just three passes for 25 yards in Quinn's one full game this season (Week 6 versus the Buccaneers).
