With the Eagles' season falling apart, their star players are crumbling, too. One week after quarterback Michael Vick was concussed during a game, running back LeSean McCoy suffered a concussion during the closing stages of Philadelphia's blowout loss to the Redskins on Sunday. McCoy was carted off the field, and a source close to McCoy has told Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer that McCoy is "alert, but foggy and tired" -- typical concussion symptoms. The Eagles next play on Nov. 26 versus the Panthers.
McCoy will have to pass all of the required tests, but the Eagles have absolutely no reason to hurry him back. I think it's a better than 50-50 bet that McCoy will sit out in Week 12, meaning that McCoy's owners need to go grab his handcuff, Bryce Brown, when they can. He could be the starter against a friendly Carolina run defense.
