Giants RB coach tells David Wilson to 'grow up and be a man'

From a fantasy perspective, it's been a lost season for Giants running back David Wilson @4stillRunning. The first-round rookie was a very popular mid-round pick in fantasy drafts and was on almost everybody's 2012 sleeper list. Then the regular season began. In Week 1, he fumbled on his second carry and sat on the bench -- crying, at one time -- for the rest of the game. He's played mostly on special teams since, totaling just 19 offensive touches on the year. On Tuesday, Giants running backs coach Jerald Ingram didn't hold back when saying why Wilson isn't more involved on offense.
"David has to learn you can't be just a runner, that's not what we do," Ingram told the New York Post. "You have to be a complete running back, you have to be knowledgeable, you have to be smart, you can't just accept your mistakes. It's about winning games, it's not a popularity contest. It's time for you to grow up and be a man now and see what you can do with the whole ball of wax. Until he proves that, it's hard to stick him out there and feel comfortable."

Fantasy Analysis:

OK then. I'm sure the Giants would love for Wilson to start living up to his first-round status now that Ahmad Bradshaw is all sorts of injured. But it's clear that he won't be seeing much, if any, playing time on offense soon. Bradshaw's true backfup, Andre Brown @drebrown35, should be added in all leagues. He has scored in four consecutive games and could see more carries going forward if Bradshaw's body continues to break down.
