Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones did not sound very confident that running back DeMarco Murray
would be ready to play in Week 11. The team plans on evaluating him through the week as his continues to heal his sprained foot. He has already missed four games. "He is a physical running back," Jones said. "You want to be comfortable for him to make his cut. All of that has to be right before he goes out there because we got to look down the road here. We hope we are in this thing and needing him on every play as we move forward even beyond Cleveland."
Fantasy Analysis:
Dallas currently ranks 29th in rushing yards per game (85.3). Murray's rushing totals through five games weren't all that impressive (75 carries for 330 yards and one TD). If the Cowboys want to turn their franchise around, this season and beyond, they'll need to address their offensive line. Pro Football Focus ranks Tyron Smith (46th) and Doug Free (60th) in the bottom-half at the tackle position. For a team that relies so heavily on speed backs hitting the edges, these numbers aren't going to cut it. For fantasy owners, Murray isn't a great start when he returns but would fit nicely as a flex. Don't expect gaudy numbers right away. Felix Jones
will continue to be the featured back for now.
