Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger could miss game due to child birth

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger told reporters that he has the full support of his team should he need to miss a game in order to be with his wife during the birth of his son. The ninth-year veteran's first child is due in about two weeks. "There's no question what I'm going to do. I have 100 percent support from my teammates, my coaches and from Mr. Rooney. Everyone felt that was the right thing to do."

Fantasy Analysis:

Roethlisberger was married in July 2011 and as stated previously, this will be his first child. This sort of news has made headlines recently because of Chicago Bears cornerback Charles Tillman @peanuttillman. He publicly stated he could miss Sunday's game against the Houston Texans if his wife gave birth during the game. Tillman did play and he and his wife planned on inducing labor after the game on Monday. Roethlisberger probably felt it necessary to clear up his plans because of Tillman's story. If Roethlisberger doesn't play, backup QB Byron Leftwich would earn the start.
