Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin
has missed just three games in four NFL seasons, but he won't play today against the Lions, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. He is dealing with a sprained ankle that forced him to miss practice all week. He is listed as doubtful on the injury report, but it sounds like he won't even go through a pregame warmup. Michael Jenkins and Jerome Simpson
stand to see more targets with Harvin out of the lineup.
Fantasy Analysis:
The Lions can be beaten through the air, but can a scared Christian Ponder
really succeed without his best receiving weapon available? Quick answer: no. I would not invest in tight end Kyle Rudolph
, Simpson and/or Jenkins either. I expect the Vikings to go very run-heavy, try to waste the clock, keep Stafford and Co. off the field and keep Ponder from costing them the game.
