Buffalo Bills head coach Chan Gailey told reporters that wide receiver Steve Johnson has a "bad" thigh contusion. Johnson tried his best to play through the injury on Sunday, but only caught three of his seven targets for 29 yards. The Bills travel to New England next week which should provide Johnson a very favorable matchup if he's healthy enough to play. For now, he's listed as questionable heading into the practice week.
Fantasy Analysis:
The Bills have the 27th-ranked passing offense (202.6 ypg) and Johnson hasn't lived up to his preseason expectations thus far. He barely qualifies as a Top 30 WR this season, but part of that struggle also has to do with WR Donald Jones
having a solid year, at least considering that he is Buffalo's No. 2 WR. The Patriots' 28th-ranked pass defense (281.1 ypg) allowed Ryan Fitzpatrick to pass for 350 yards, four TDs and four INTs earlier in the season. Johnson only caught two of his ten targets in that contest.
