Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt told reporters that he will play rookie wide receiver Michael Floyd. After only exceeding three targets once in Arizona's previous seven games, Floyd has 18 targets in his last two contests which has yielded him 10 receptions for 116 yards. No. 2 receiver Andre Roberts
is still producing very well with 27 targets, 18 catches for 254 yards and a TD in his last three games. Floyd appears to have overtaken Early Doucet as Arizona's WR3, according to the Arizona Republic.
Fantasy Analysis:
Floyd isn't worth a roster spot at this time but this is a good sign for dynasty owners. The former Notre Dame stud had little production until recently and the Cardinals' offense is hardly performing well enough to support three receivers in fantasy. Arizona has their bye in Week 10 so keep an eye on Floyd as the season closes out, although the Cards have a brutal closing schedule with games against Atlanta, Seattle, Chicago, and San Francisco.
