For the second consecutive game, Miami Dolphins running back Daniel Thomas played more snaps than RB Reggie Bush
. Last week, Thomas played 41 snaps and Bush played 20. This week, the split was 33 to 28, respectively. During Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, Bush had 12 touches for 66 total yards and a TD while Thomas earned eight touches for 62 total yards. The duo began alternating drives late in the third quarter through the end of the game.
Fantasy Analysis:
A lightening of Bush's workload shouldn't be that surprising at this point in the season. The seven-year vet doesn't need to shoulder a full game's worth of carries since Thomas is also a solid between-the-tackles runner. That said, this could downgrade Bush in tougher matchups, downgrading him to a flex option. A month ago, Bush was a Top 8 fantasy back statistically, but he's slowly fading. Next week's game against Tennessee should be a good rebound opportunity for him to score points while Thomas may have earned consideration for a roster spot in some deeper formats.
