The Washington Redskins will play yet another week without WR Pierre Garcon
. The former Indianapolis Colt hasn't played since Oct. 7 and has only played in three games all season. Garcon and the Redskins have a bye in Week 10 and the early presumption is that he will return in Week 11. WR Aldrick Robinson
is expected to see an increase in playing time according to Grant Paulsen, a local beat reporter in Washington. Robinson had been held out because of a concussion incurred in a freak accident collision during pre-game warmups nearly a month ago.
Fantasy Analysis:
Realistically, Washington's only viable fantasy receiver is the ageless Santana Moss
. He is the only Redskins pass-catcher with more than one TD reception (he has five) and is tied for the team-lead with 23 receptions. Unfortunately for the entire receiving corps, Robert Griffin III
does a great job spreading the ball around. Three receivers (Moss, Leonard Hankerson
, and Josh Morgan) have 23 receptions and each has at least 30 targets and no more than 37. When healthy, Garcon is certainly worth a roster spot on your fantasy team but he shouldn't immediately return to a starting lineup until he proves that he's back at 100-percent.
