Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said Monday that while Jordy Nelson
didn't suit up yesterday against the Jaguars, he was "close" to playing. Nelson didn't practice on Thursday or Friday after experiencing some hamstring tightness during Wednesday's practice. He went through a pregame workout at Lambeau Field, but the Packers thought it would be best to hold him out.
Fantasy Analysis:
No Nelson and no Greg Jennings definitely affected the Packers' offense as Aaron Rodgers was forced to keep things short, averaging just 5.3 yards per attempt and finishing with less than 200 passing yards against an overmatched Jaguars defense. But it sounds like Nelson has a halfway decent chance of coming back in Week 9 against the Cardinals. We'll keep tabs on his activity during the practice week. Of course, Nelson should be in your lineup if active.
