Falcons RB Michael Turner plays 36 of 75 offensive snaps

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Atlanta Falcon running back Michael Turner played in 36 of the team's offensive snaps. That equals 48-percent of the offensive plays. Backup back Jacquizz Rodgers @Qui22Rodgers played 29 offensive snaps or 39-percent. RB Jason Snelling @JSNELZ44 played 17 offensive snaps or 23-percent. Despite handing the ball off 24 times to Turner, he only rushed for 58 yards, good for 2.4 ypc.

Fantasy Analysis:

The game is slowly getting away from Turner. Sunday's total of 25 carries was his largest workload of the season. Atlanta secured a 24-7 halftime which allowed them the luxury of shortening the game with their running attack. If Turner was a more effective runner, this could have been a much larger blowout. Rodgers gained 60 yards on just eight carries, including a 43-yard jaunt where he showed great toughness and very quick feet. As long as the wins keep piling up, there's no need to force Turner out of the offense. Keeping him healty allows them to use Rodgers sparingly.
