Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler had X-rays taken to evaluate a potential rib injury after the former Denver Broncos QB was hit hart by Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. Cutler was able to finish the game, but hinted at having bruised ribs. "I feel all right now. I think probably later in the week it's gonna be a little difficult," Cutler said after the game. Expect Cutler to be limited throughout the week since the rib injury is on his throwing (right) side. If Cutler does actually miss any time, former Washington Redskins QB Jason Campbell is the backup.
Fantasy Analysis:
After an early touchdown pass to WR Brandon Marshall
, the Bears offense really slowed down. Leaning heavily on Matt Forte
and Michael Bush
, the two backs rushed 28 times for a total of 132 yards. After 13 unanswered points, Detroit scored their only points of the game with under a minute left. Chicago's defense just might be their best fantasy "player" excluding Marshall. Cutler has been inconsistent, Forte rarely finds the end zone, Kellen Davis
is lucky to have more than a couple receptions per game, and Bush only receivers very limited touches.
