Cardinals RB Ryan Williams has shoulder injury

Arizona Cardinals running back Ryan Williams @lilsweetness34 exited during the fourth quarter against the St. Louis Rams because of a shoulder injury. Rams safety Darian Stewart hit him hard and Williams left to the locker room; he was queastionable to return to the game and did not return. The second-year back rushed for 33 yards on 14 carries since Arizona's offensive line couldn't create running lanes and failed to pass protect by allowing nine sacks. After the game, Williams downplayed his injury, telling head coach Ken Whisenhunt that he would play no matter what in the following weeks.

Fantasy Analysis:

The Rams really exposed the formerly undefeated Cardinals by generating nine sacks. Defensive end Robert Quinn single-handedly dominated, posting three sacks. Arizona's offensive line may not be good enough to maintain their current level of success. As for Williams, he's still entrenched as the starter until Whisenhunt suggests otherwise. Beanie Wells is on injured reserve and LaRod Stephens-Howling @LS_H36 was out Thursday with a hip injury, leaving a trio of backups next in line should Williams need a week off. Consider Williams day-to-day.

Mike Powell. I thought he looked great in the preseason game I watched. Reminded me of Sproles.
