Colts WR Austin Collie done for season with ruptured patella tendon

Oft-injured Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Austin Collie @AKCollie_17 has been shut down for the 2012 season after rupturing his right patella tendon. Collie finally made it back onto the field after battling lingering concussion effects and promptly re-injured himself. The former BYU standout had sustained four concussions in 21 months and missed seven games back in 2010. Although he played the entirety of the 2011 season, Collie's persistent injury problems have caught up with him again.

Fantasy Analysis:

Collie can't seem to catch a break. He was a breakout star in 2010 before concussions ended that season and here he is again, having to sit out an entire year. The Colts look much-improved thus far and with rookie QB Andrew Luck playing so well, it was possible the fourth-year pro could have re-entered the fantasy consciousness with a couple good games. Instead, the task to carry the torch falls onto long-time veteran WR Reggie Wayne @Reggie_Wayne87 and the emerging WR Donnie Avery @donnieavery. Adding Avery has to be a top priority in any league where he's still on the waiver wire.
