The good news: Bills running back C.J. Spiller
, hurt during Buffalo's Week 3 wn at Cleveland, did not suffer a serious injury.
The bad news: The NFL's leading rusher entering the week will miss at least one game with an apparent shoulder injury
"I don't believe it's long, long term," Gailey said after the win. "If he misses a week, that's long for me. I think he's going to be out for sure this week, and then we'll see where he goes from there."
Additional tests are scheduled for Monday, though Gailey ruled out a broken collarbone. Beyod that...?
"He's out for a week or two, but I don't know how extensive it is," the coach said.
Fantasy Analysis:
Already without Fred Jackson
, the Bills offense obviously takes another major hit. Against the Browns Ryan Fitzpatrick stepped up with three touchdown passes, but fantasy players want to know who is the next RB of choice. The answer? Tashard Choice
, who finished with 91 yards on 20 carries and also caught two passes for eight yards. Once a sleeper candidate with the Cowboys, Choice has a chance for solid numbers next week against the Patriots, at least a Flex option. As it stands he's certainly worth a free agent pickup. As for how hot and heavy you should be for him, all depends on the updated Spiller news and your level of desperation.
