Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt hasn't said quarterback John Skelton will not play this weekend. Despite his still-healing sprained ankle, Skelton has even been practicing the past couple of days. It's just very unlikely that he plays. Skelton is listed as questionable on the injury report. Kevin Kolb
is expected to get his second consecutive start.
"I don't have any expectation of John than wanting to get back healthy and compete for the job," Whisenhunt said Friday. "Once we get to that point, we'll make a decision."
Fantasy Analysis:
In other words, Skelton hasn't gotten to the point where he is healthy and can compete for the job. Kolb was generally safe against the Patriots and kept the mistakes to a minimum. He's not worth starting in fantasy, obviously; he just needs to get Larry Fitzgerald
involved more often. Fitzgerald will see a lot of Nnamdi Asomugha on Sunday, but please keep him in your lineup. I know people out there are wondering whether they should sit him in favor of Donnie Avery or Danny Amendola. Don't get cute, gamers. It's still Larry Fitzgerald.
