Bears RB Matt Forte sits out Wednesday's practice

The good news (we think) for Matt Forte @MattForte22 owners came earlier in the week when Bears coach Lovie Smith said the running back did not suffer a high ankle sprain in the team's Week 2 loss to Green Bay. That's not the same as saying Forte will play Sunday against St. Louis - and missing practice as he did on Wednesday provides no evidence to the contrary.

Fantasy Analysis:

For now we at FFToolbox are going under the assumption that Forte will indeed miss the opportunity to run early and often against the Rams, though obviously we'll learn more as the week progresses. Fantasy owners should have been crafting a contingency plan since last Thursday with the easiest one being inserting Michael Bush @michaelbush29 into the starting lineup. Should he have the backfield to himself, Bush is a top 10 fantasy RB option in Week 3.
