Davone Bess has usurped Brian Hartline as Miami's top possession receiver with more targets (44 to 40), catches (27 to 26), reception yards (327 to 293) and touchdowns (1 to 0) over the last five weeks. The role is a familiar one for Bess, who averaged an impressive 105 targets during the last two seasons while playing second fiddle to Brandon Marshall. Back in 2009, he was actually the Dolphins' leading receiver. Despite being a consistent pass magnet, Bess has never managed more than five touchdowns in a season. Like his teammate Hartline earlier this year, Bess is a strong PPR play but still a relatively weak play in most standard scoring formats. He does, however, deserve WR3/4 consideration against the forgiving Patriots secondary this Sunday.

Broyles was a hot pickup after it was announced that Titus Young had been suspended by the team for their Week 12 game against Houston. In what could turn out to be more than just a spot start, Broyles burned the Texans for 126 yards on six catches. The rookie ran sharp routes and drew praise from teammate Calvin Johnson, who told the Detroit News, "we are going to keep progressing with [Broyles and Mike Thomas] in our receiver group." Those comments seem to reinforce the suspicion that Young might find himself bumped out of a starting role when he returns to the lineup.

We are going to keep progressing with these new guys in our receiver group.

One of the year's top rookie performers, Hilton now has five scores (four receiving, one returning) in the last four weeks. On Sunday he was once again the difference-maker, accounting for both of his team's touchdowns. He has provided bursts of excitement thoughout this season, but had been anable to string together two solid performances in a row. Until now. It's a shame he's still stuck behind Donnie Avery on the depth chart. As the third option in a prolific Indianapolis passing attack, Hilton is a hit or miss fantasy commodity best suited for use in deeper leagues.

Week after week, Clark is becoming a more integral part of Tampa Bay's offensive plans. With 65 receiving yards last weekend, he exceeded the previous high he set in Week 11 and though he went scoreless, contributed when it mattered. Against Atlanta he caught every pass thrown his way, including the game's final completion. He could reward fantasy owners again this week against a Denver team that has struggled to defend opposing tight ends.

With six catches and a touchdown on Sunday, Pitta showed no ill effects from the concussion he suffered in Week 11. He wasn't able to sustain his early season dominance, but still bears consideration in 12-team leagues as a busy receiver and strong red zone target. He faces a tough challenge this week versus Pittsburgh, but draws Washington and Denver next -- the two teams that have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season. That could be a welcome boost for owners during the playoff stretch.
