The only rookie with first round draft potential this season, Richardson is a workhorse back with the physical skills to dominate for years and years. Let's just hope the injury gods don't take him sooner than expected.

Poised to inherit Bucs starting role. Opening career in new coach Greg Schiano's run-oriented attack gives Martin outside shot to be top rookie RB.

Talent is on par with Martin. It's the situation, playing alongside Ahmad Bradshaw and to some degree Eli Manning, that keeps the former Virginia Tech star's long-term value slightly more iffy. Wilson could be a fantasy gem in a couple of seasons or sooner if Bradshaw goes down.

Landed in tremendous spot with the Broncos as a pass-catching back playing with Peyton Manning and behind the aging Willis McGahee.

Finally, Steven Jackson has some help. For now, that's enough to have interest in the electrifying Pead, who has three-down potential whenever S-Jax moves on.

Would be easier to forecast a true role for the blindingly quick back if he was not drafted into the Niners' deep backfield filled. Scary PPR potential if team eventually becomes more pass friendly.

The former Miami star had first round buzz before health concerns bumped him down several rounds. Miller is a home run threat and it's not like the Dolphins' others runners are incredibly established.

The Ravens second running back is often a short yardage vulture and the physical Pierce fits that mold, and then some.

Regardless of whether Rashard Mendenhall or Isaac Redman is the starter, the Steelers need another player to serve as the backfield's pass catcher.
