QB Ryan Tannehill, MIA (QB - #30)
Not only was the former Texas A&M passer arguably over-drafted, he landed on a team devoid of receiving talent. Dolphins are committed to Tannehill so long road ahead and eventually (one would think) they find him a legit WR1 type.
WR Brian Quick, STL (WR - #108)
The 6-foot-3, 220-pounder with speed has the physical tools, no doubt. Only concern is how quickly he learns to use them while making the steep transition from Appalachian State to the NFL.
WR Alshon Jeffery, CHI (WR - #51)
Attribute the former South Carolina's ranking above other receivers drafted ahead of him to his situation. Jeffery could start opposite Brandon Marshall this season, meaning the 6-foot-4 target should receive single coverage in the red zone.
QB Russell Wilson, SEA (QB - #25)
From big man on campus at Wisconsin to third round pick in the NFL Draft by Seattle to being named the Seahawks Week 1 starter, its already been an eventful ride for one Russell Wilson. Passed over by many teams due to his 5-foot-11 size, Wilson is the left coast version of Tim Tebow but with much better passing mechanics: He wins, plain and simple. Whether that translates into fantasy stardom is another story, though his scrambling ability will help maintain a steady level most weeks. The Seahawks current lack of high-end receiver weapons hurts his cause, but Wilson will be a popular option this season - and likely beyond.
WR Rueben Randle, NYG (WR - #122)
Hakeem Nicks has been banged up in recent years and the Giants have shown the ability to keep three wide receivers in the mix for fantasy value.
RB Ronnie Hillman, DEN (RB - #47)
Landed in tremendous spot with the Broncos as a pass-catching back playing with Peyton Manning and behind the aging Willis McGahee.
QB Brandon Weeden, CLE (QB - #31)
Should start immediately, but advanced age limits long-term potential. That, and the Browns' lack of receiving options.
RB Isaiah Pead, STL (RB - #89)
Finally, Steven Jackson has some help. For now, that's enough to have interest in the electrifying Pead, who has three-down potential whenever S-Jax moves on.
RB LaMichael James, SF (RB - #90)
Would be easier to forecast a true role for the blindingly quick back if he was not drafted into the Niners' deep backfield filled. Scary PPR potential if team eventually becomes more pass friendly.
