| Ovr | Pick | Franchise | Selection | Pos. | Team | Age | Exp. |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1.02 | FFToolbox.com (Ben) | Ray Rice | RB | BAL | 26 | 4 |
| In the argument of which RB goes first, I'm ever so slightly leaning Rice's way since he has less competition for carries compared to Arian Foster and the Texans OL could be weaker following key losses. Oh, also Rice is a dual-threat stud, so there's that. | |||||||
| 2 | 2.11 | FFToolbox.com (Ben) | Jamaal Charles | RB | KC | 26 | 4 |
| First draft this year I've gone RB-RB (also first draft I've had a top 3 pick). Been leery of Charles near the first turn, but at this point I'll bite. The Chiefs ground game is looking rather nice this year. | |||||||
| 3 | 3.02 | FFToolbox.com (Ben) | Brandon Marshall | WR | CHI | 29 | 6 |
| Screw it, I like Marshall this year. That's it. | |||||||
| 4 | 4.11 | FFToolbox.com (Ben) | Steve Smith | WR | CAR | 34 | 11 |
| No tougher player in the league. You don't get points for that, but Smith will fight for every ball thrown his way. That plus his speed and being Cam Newton's main target will lead to plenty of scoring. | |||||||
| 5 | 5.02 | FFToolbox.com (Ben) | Michael Turner | RB | --- | 31 | 8 |
| Like everyone says when they draft Turner, I'm not really in love with him, but he's good value here and the RB pool dries up quick. | |||||||
| 6 | 6.11 | FFToolbox.com (Ben) | Jermichael Finley | TE | GB | 26 | 4 |
| Didn't really want to go TE here, but there's no WR jumping out at me. Instead I'll shore up the receiving corps with Finley, the best TE left - and I kind of think by a decent amount. | |||||||
| 7 | 7.02 | FFToolbox.com (Ben) | Stevan Ridley | RB | NE | 24 | 1 |
| Just not in love with the remaining receivers. We'll see if only having two at this point bites me. The backs will be gone by the time I pick again. Since this is my fourth, I'll shoot for the moon with the Patriots young buck. | |||||||
| 8 | 8.11 | FFToolbox.com (Ben) | Jay Cutler | QB | CHI | 30 | 6 |
| Other than echoing the surprise from others about backup QBs being selected so early in such a league, I'll move on and take one (I'm scared to wait even with just two picks in between my next selection). I actually like Cutler a touch more than normal and I love that I can pair him with Marshall. So, there's that. | |||||||
| 9 | 9.02 | FFToolbox.com (Ben) | Anquan Boldin | WR | SF | 32 | 9 |
| Looking for some safety with WR3 slot. Welcome to the team Anquan Boldin. | |||||||
| 10 | 10.11 | FFToolbox.com (Ben) | Kendall Wright | WR | TEN | 23 | R |
| After taking the safe route with Anquan Boldin last round, pretty happy one of the upside plays I've been eyeing is still around. Depending on Kenny Britt's availability, Wright could either be an occasional big play contributor or a weekly starter. | |||||||
| 11 | 11.02 | FFToolbox.com (Ben) | Jared Cook | TE | STL | 26 | 3 |
| Pairing my favorite upside TE in Cook with the potent (but often dinged) Jermichael Finley. | |||||||
| 12 | 12.11 | FFToolbox.com (Ben) | Andy Dalton | QB | CIN | 25 | 1 |
| Had been debating going with Locker's upside, but with him off the table will add the steady scoring of Dalton. | |||||||
| 13 | 13.02 | FFToolbox.com (Ben) | Joe Flacco | QB | BAL | 28 | 4 |
| Really had no interest in taking a third QB here, but the best options left are tight ends (I have two) and rookie wide outs (I already have one). Since I missed out on the legit QB1's, I'll up my weekly odds by adding the solid Flacco to Cutler and Dalton. | |||||||
| 14 | 14.11 | FFToolbox.com (Ben) | Michael Floyd | WR | ARI | 23 | R |
| 15 | 15.02 | FFToolbox.com (Ben) | Mario Manningham | WR | SF | 26 | 4 |
| Eh, why not. I'm more of a Crabtree guy, but if forced to pick a SF wide out, but it's not a stretch to think Manningham ends up being top option this season. | |||||||
| 16 | 16.11 | FFToolbox.com (Ben) | Detroit Defense | Def | DET | ||
| 17 | 17.02 | FFToolbox.com (Ben) | Ny Giants Defense | Def | NYG | ||
| 18 | 18.11 | FFToolbox.com (Ben) | Lawrence Tynes | PK | --- | 34 | 11 |
| For some reason Tynes is rarely a top 10 kicker, but the Giants sport a money offense so he'll have chances. | |||||||
| 19 | 19.02 | FFToolbox.com (Ben) | Mike Goodson | RB | NYJ | 26 | 3 |
| In a regular league I'd go with Bernard Pierce as a Ray Rice handcuff. In this format, I'll instead shoot for the moon with someone else's backup. In this case, the guy behind the often injured DMac. | |||||||
| 20 | 20.11 | FFToolbox.com (Ben) | Dan Carpenter | PK | MIA | 27 | 4 |
