| Ovr | Pick | Franchise | Selection | Pos. | Team | Age | Exp. |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1.03 | FootballGuys.com | LeSean McCoy | RB | PHI | 24 | 3 |
| Very close to Ray Rice as the RB1/RB2 debate in all formats, especially PPR. McCoy is a key part of the high powered Philadelphia offense and he gets more than his fair share of touches and TDs even with Vick running at QB. Despite two rookies added in Philly, he remains the top back by a wide margin. | |||||||
| 2 | 2.10 | FootballGuys.com | Rob Gronkowski | TE | NE | 24 | 2 |
| Gronkowski was a force among many big tight end performances in 2011. He has the unique combination of size, speed and receiving skills that make him too difficult for a normal linebacker or safety to cover one on one. He scored 17 touchdowns, a number that is likely to not be replicated but even if he scored "only" 10 he still would have been the top TE last year. Take him as the top tight end in all formats. | |||||||
| 3 | 3.03 | FootballGuys.com | Greg Jennings | WR | MIN | 29 | 6 |
| Jennings is one of the top two targets along with Jordy Nelson in the Packers offense. The good news is that there is plenty of room for both to be stud WRs for Aaron Rodgers, as the ground game is less than average. Expect another huge year for both wideouts. The concussion issue doesn't bother me at all. | |||||||
| 4 | 4.10 | FootballGuys.com | Reggie Bush | RB | DET | 28 | 6 |
| Reggie Bush had his best rushing season ever in the NFL last year for Miami, averaging five yards per carry and topping 1,000 yards on the ground. His touchdowns (six) and receptions (43) were a little more modest than you would want from a top running back, but the Dolphins have said that they want to use him more, especially as a receiver. With a young quarterback in Ryan Tannehill about to take over, playmakers with speed will be valuable. Daniel Thomas, the backup to Bush, also has not shown much which elevates Bush to a stable starting tailback. | |||||||
| 5 | 5.03 | FootballGuys.com | DeSean Jackson | WR | PHI | 26 | 4 |
| The Eagles have a high-powered passing game, and the flashy DeSean Jackson often overshadows the consistent performances of Jeremy Maclin. Jackson is the home run hitter who doesn't always connect every week, making Maclin the safer fantasy WR2 - but if you want big play potential and punt return options then DeSean is your guy. In best ball - big play players are your friend, so DeSean it is! | |||||||
| 6 | 6.10 | FootballGuys.com | Jonathan Stewart | RB | CAR | 26 | 4 |
| Purely looking for TD opportunities here. I think the Panthers will try and protect Newton more, giving the rock to Stewart at the goal line. | |||||||
| 7 | 7.03 | FootballGuys.com | Reggie Wayne | WR | IND | 34 | 11 |
| Savvy veteran wide receiver who is the Colts #1 guy, and he has a good QB again in Luck. Garbage time counts too :) | |||||||
| 8 | 8.10 | FootballGuys.com | Robert Griffin III | QB | WAS | 23 | R |
| Hard to believe that the "experts" are taking QB2s in Round 7 and 8 of a 4pt per pass league, but whatever... I will take a young QB who could run for several TDs this year, giving him Cam Newton upside. | |||||||
| 9 | 9.03 | FootballGuys.com | Santonio Holmes | WR | NYJ | 29 | 6 |
| Another WR where you would hate to have him in a weekly lineup, but in best ball? Sure, since he should be good for 7 or 8 TDs. | |||||||
| 10 | 10.10 | FootballGuys.com | Brent Celek | TE | PHI | 28 | 5 |
| In a best ball league, I'll gamble here that he will be a value as a likely starter once he returns to the Lions after a short suspension. | |||||||
| 11 | 11.03 | FootballGuys.com | Mikel Leshoure | RB | DET | 23 | 1 |
| I expect him to start once he serves a two-game suspension. | |||||||
| 12 | 12.10 | FootballGuys.com | Jake Locker | QB | TEN | 24 | 1 |
| Newly named starter with several passing game options and the ability to run too. I like it. | |||||||
| 13 | 13.03 | FootballGuys.com | Felix Jones | RB | PHI | 26 | 4 |
| Best RB left, to be quite honest and Murray is not exactly rock solid for his health history. Jones was the starter 12 months ago so there is plenty of upside if Murray gets hurt, and the Cowboys aren't exactly full of healthy bodies right now. | |||||||
| 14 | 14.10 | FootballGuys.com | Laurent Robinson | WR | --- | 28 | 5 |
| Love his touchdown upside, and Gabbert did look better this preseason - but then again, hard for him not to.. but L-Rob has a nose for the end zone is a great best ball WR | |||||||
| 15 | 15.03 | FootballGuys.com | Alex Smith | QB | KC | 29 | 7 |
| 3QBs? Yes, in best ball when you wait, this is the way to go. I think Alex Smith hooks up with Randy Moss and Vernon Davis enough to post a few high scoring weeks - all I am asking him to do. | |||||||
| 16 | 16.10 | FootballGuys.com | Stephen Gostkowski | PK | NE | 29 | 6 |
| One of the top kickers for a high scoring offense. | |||||||
| 17 | 17.03 | FootballGuys.com | Buffalo Defense | Def | BUF | ||
| Underrated defense with lots of upside, and a very soft schedule. | |||||||
| 18 | 18.10 | FootballGuys.com | San Diego Defense | Def | SD | ||
| 19 | 19.03 | FootballGuys.com | Stephen Hill | WR | NYJ | 22 | R |
| Big play WR, perfect for a few weeks of a deep TD for a nice score in best ball. | |||||||
| 20 | 20.10 | FootballGuys.com | Justin Medlock | PK | --- | 29 | 5 |
