Keeper and Dynasty League Rankings

QB RB WR TE

1. Drew Brees, QB, NO - Age 31

No reason to believe the Saints offensive juggernaut will slow down anytime soon, especially with Brees and an aggressive play caller for a head coach. Could use offensive line help to max production.
Rodgers went from being outside the top tier of Quarterbacks to being the overall top scorer in 2009. The Pack have plenty of scoring options and are a tackle or two away from being borderline unstoppable.
Coming off an MVP season, what does Manning do? Throw for even more yards and touchdowns, direct near undefeated season and put himself in position for yet another MVP award. What can you fault?

4. Tom Brady, QB, NE - Age 32

Through 16 weeks, the much talked about knee of Brady's has held up, though it was clear at times he was not totally comfortable. That should not be an issue next year. Look for the full arsenal to be unleashed.
The San Diego Chargers are officially Rivers team after another 4,000 yard season. The excitebale QB is also in range for another 30 TDP campaign and there is no reason to think 2010 will be anything different.
Those 'can't stay healthy' concerns were a non-factor in 2009. An intact Schaub leads the NFL in passing yards and did it for half the year without Owen Daniels or a viable running attack.

7. Tony Romo, QB, DAL - Age 29

No TO, no problem for Romo, who will reach 4K for the second time in the NFL this season. Only real question about his 2010 value has to do with whether Wade Phillips remains head coach or not.
The Steelers went from their smashmouth norm to a pass-heavy attack behind Big Ben and he delivered the first 4,000 passing yardage season in team history. Up and down history is a concern, but talent is not.

9. Matt Ryan, QB, ATL - Age 24

Will not go as far to say that Ryan regressed in his second season, but it was hard to see much improvement. Staying healthy next year will help, but potential remains high with his poise and arm combo.

10. Eli Manning, QB, NYG - Age 29

If anything can be taken out this non-playoff season for the Giants, it is that Manning can handle a heavy workload as he kept Giants offense afloat. Numbers should remain high with Nicks and Smith improving.
With the deepest set of receiving options in his Eagles career, McNabb generated another solid fantasy season, though losing Brian Westbrook for much of it limited upside. Expect at least one more good year.

12. Joe Flacco, QB, BAL - Age 25

No Sophomore slump for Flacco, who was given the full playbook and largely delievered, though had a mid-season stretch were his youthful indiscressions were on display. Ravens need WR upgrade however.

13. Kurt Warner, QB, FA - Age 38

Another QB that seemed unlikely to make it through the season still in one piece, but Warner survived and thrived. Matt Leinart lingers, but Warner has done nothing to make the Cards think he is not the man.

14. Chad Henne, QB, MIA - Age 24

The first-year starter flashed enough game that the Fins should consider limiting their use of the Wildcat next year. Exepct Miami to add a big-time receiver in the off-season to help Henne's development.

15. Jay Cutler, QB, CHI - Age 26

Ranking Cutler this high after a heinous season is based on the assumption that the Bears upgrade their receiving corps and offensive scheme. His all-or-nothing styl can be fantasy friendly with help.

16. Vince Young, QB, TEN - Age 26

The Titans playoff run came up short, but starting VY began the turnaround. Still not a great fantasy passer, but the Titans have solid receiving options to help him. And don't forget those legs.
Not really sure what went wrong here, especially since Cedric Benson exceeded all expectations. Added speed is needed at wideout to provide a downfield threat lost with the tragic passing of Chris Henry.

18. Brett Favre, QB, MIN - Age 40

Never knowing Favre's status from moment to moment is a reason to not slot him terribly high, but he was top notch most of the season and the Vikes are loaded. Unlessthey win it all, Favre will be back. Maybe.
Hard to believe it, but Campbell is the likely #1 available free agent QB this year. Thus his true value could rise or fall depending on the situation he ends up in. Not flashy, but did well with lack of supporting cast.
The Lions have a ways to go, but they do not need to worry about the QB position for now, though they would be very smart to bolster that front wall to keep Stafford healthy. Aggressive, not afraid as rook.

21. Matt Cassel, QB, KC - Age 27

Guess it is easier to play QB when you are throwing to Moss and Welker. In sharp contrast to his run with the Pats, Cassel struggled mightly, but not a shock for year one in a new system. Chiefs rebuild continues.

22. Kyle Orton, QB, DEN - Age 27

Another free agent to be, Orton does not have the arm to make defenses nervous, but his steady play has kept the Broncos in the playoff hunt. Not a guy to get excited about, either in fantasy or the real world.

23. Mark Sanchez, QB, NYJ - Age 23

Not time to go calling him a bust, but Sanchez regressed as the season went on, though not unexpected for a guy who started only one year in college. He has weapons so statistical bounce is possible.

24. Josh Freeman, QB, TB - Age 22

Freeman had some horrid rookie moments, but also flashed off his strong arm and help lead the Bucs to some nice late season wins. Except more ups and downs in Year two, but there is something here.
Garrard is a solid vet, but simply does not make enough big plays. The Jags need to add some excitement to get the fans back and there is no better place for that then at QB, so Garrard's days could be limited.
