Week 8: Box Score Bandit

It may seem like a broken record, but it isn't as Tom Brady once again set a career-high with a monster six touchdown performance, including two bombs to his new favorite receiver, Randy Moss. The duo led the Patriots incredible juggernaut offense to highlight Week 7 results.

Elsewhere, wild finishes to several games with furious fourth quarter scoring gave owners much to cheer about. A lot of the production came from unlikely players, which sets the stage for a busy week of waiver wire action as the fantasy season officially hits the midpoint.

Don't have time to scour the box scores? No need to worry, the Bandit is here every week to break down all of the games for owners - fantasy style. Check out the latest quick hits on the studs, bench plays, sleepers, and injuries from the week that was.

50-Yard Line Entertainment...

Tennessee Wins a Wild One Over Houston, 38-36
Fantasy Stud: K-Rob Bironas (TEN) set a league record, going 8-8 on FGs, including the game-winner with no time left. He added 2 XPs for good measure.
Bench Play: WR-Eric Moulds (TEN) failed to catch a pass in this high scoring affair.
Sleeper: QB-Sage Rosenfels (HOU) came off the bench to post big numbers in a valiant comeback. He finished with 290 yards and 4 TDs (all in the 4th quarter).
Injuries: QB-Matt Schaub (HOU) left the game with ankle and hip injuries.

Washington Survives Arizona Comeback, 21-19
Fantasy Stud: WR-Anquan Boldin (ARI) returned to the lineup and quickly showed his worth. He caught 6 passes for 69 yards and scored 2 TDs.
Bench Play: QB-Jason Campbell (WAS) was very limited in this contest, throwing for just 95 yards with 0 TDs and 1 INT. He remains a #2 QB option.
Sleeper: QB-Kurt Warner (ARI) gave owners hope that he can play through his elbow injury. He threw for 282 yards and tossed 2 TDs.

Bengals Outscore Jets, 38-31
Fantasy Stud: RB-Kenny Watson (CIN) stole the show as he gained 157 total yards and scored 3 TDs.
Bench Play: RB-Thomas Jones (NYJ) hasn't been much help for fantasy owners. He had just 67 yards and still has yet to find the end zone this season.
Sleeper: WR-Laveranues Coles (NYJ) is scoring much more than he has in recent years. He scored 2 TDs on 8 receptions for 133 yards.

...Shocking End Zone Celebrations…

Chicago Stuns Philadelphia, 19-16
Fantasy Stud: WR-Muhsin Muhammad (CHI) led all receivers with 5 catches, 79 yards, and a last second TD to win it.
Bench Play: WR-Reggie Brown (PHI) appears to only be worth keeping for depth, not for starts. He hauled in a mundane 3 passes for 44 yards.
Sleeper: QB-Brian Griese (CHI) led a terrific last second comeback that showed owners that he's a legit long-term option. He wound up with 322 yards and 1 TD.

Bills Beat Ravens, 19-14
Fantasy Stud: WR-Derrick Mason (BAL) added to his league-leading reception total with 7 catches for 78 yards and 1 TD. The vet has been one of this season's biggest sleepers.
Bench Play: QB-Kyle Boller (BAL) is simply not a fantasy option. Despite the good match-up, he had just 191 yards and 1 TD.
Sleeper: K-Rian Lindell (BUF) is looking like a good fill-in kicker for owners. He booted 4 FGs and added 1 XP.

Detroit Defeats Tampa Bay, 23-16
Fantasy Stud: RB-Earnest Graham (TB) was a true workhorse. He ran for 92 yards, but did even more damage in the passing game with 13 receptions for 99 yards.
Bench Play: QB-Jon Kitna (DET) is cooling off and has become a risky #1 QB. He had just 147 yards and didn't throw a TD.
Sleeper: RB-Kevin Jones (DET) is back. He gained 110 total yards, while catching 6 balls and scoring 1 TD. He's ready to assume being a #2 fantasy RB, at least.
